Some pulp. Nothing artificial.

You will find this an unusual How-To book. Most manuals and instruction books, if they are read at all, sit on a shelf for occasional reference. Better ones may be avidly flipped through, but are seldom read cover to cover.

In preparing this book, I decided to do something different so those new to archery would enjoy the learning process from first page to last. In addition to sharing archery basics, contemporary archers Celeste and Blake share their romantic back-story and deep philosophical points of view.

This book does not presume to supersede the teaching of an experienced archery coach and appropriate instructional books needed in order to learn proper archery form and stance. Instead, it promises to take you beyond the technical aspects of archery.

Within these pages you will discover for yourself the ancient skills of hunter and warrior. You will be joining a vast group of your peers who see the practice of archery as a pathway to a new kind of freedom-the freedom to connect with na-ture, to forget yourself, to become one with the target, and to experience joy. Celeste and Blake break the rules, reminding you how to be yourself. By being open to their life lessons you just might find your own Celeste or Blake.

When you visit Ireland, you'll discover not only many things about the place and its people, but you will feel trans-ported to a different state of being. There is some magic in a visit to Ireland, and at times you even lose a sense of what century you are in.

We found the people of Ireland to be generous and welcoming, and we especially enjoyed their humor. We observed universal respect for thrift and prudence balanced by the offer of hospitality and friendship. The young thirst for knowledge while elders have a reverence for wisdom and, above all, character. We've touched on these themes in this book by using separate chapters.

The format of Ireland's Beautiful Places is a mix of travel photography coupled with traditional Irish sayings. It's our way to give you a feeling for the beauty of the country and its landmarks, as well as a way to allow the Irish people to speak for themselves.

We hope this book gets you started making your travel plans, and we're sure you will enjoy a visit to Ireland as much as we did!

There are scant resources on the web and in books about making microscope filters, especially Rheinberg, Darkfield, and Oblique filters. How do they work? How do you make them? The author saves the reader the trouble of doing all the research by providing a step by step manual on microscope filter making.

For over a decade, the author has made microscope filters for universities around the world, for the Mayo Clinic, for professors, industrial scientists, hospital researchers, doctors and veterinarians on every continent, and for amateurs as well. In addition to the main topic of Rheinberg filters, covered are polarization and oblique filter making, which adds to the repertoire of microscope contrast techniques. The book also lists many resources for products and related references about microscopy.

Loaded with over 144 photos and illustrations, included are bonus chapters showing the reader how to make a microscope camera adapter, a nice wooden filter case, and instructions for making a plant press.

Having created sets of Rheinberg filters for various makes and models of microscopes, new, old, and antique, the author shares all of his techniques. Besides being a course on microscope filter making, the book provides the key elements to setting up a home based business via the internet, with a complete marketing plan that can be applied to other hobbies and interests as well.

Wiccan Trees is Writer's Digest award winning book, receiving first place in the inspirational category. It is a book both inspirational and meditatively practical. The reader is taken on a deep spiritual journey verified by freedom of observation which she can confirm for herself in the forest.

This is a poem in iambic tetrameter, with a beat similar to the heart. Written in a style reminiscent of the Romantic Era, it is accessible to the modern reader without obscure references and allusions.

"The photos are breathtaking and reminded me that we all need to stop for a moment and take in the beauty around us. I personally tend to move through life too quickly, this book was a reminder to me that I need to slow down and enjoy every moment."

Wiccan Wisdom is inspired by mystical encounters in ordinary life. Here Salamanca brings us a set of insightful and powerful meditations from places at the water's edge. To be truly free, is to be free of all political ideology, all formal religion, and all cultural conditioning. Salamanca points to this pathless way as the only path to freedom.

"I found as I read this short book that I was looking deeply into myself. I found that I was searching through my soul for what I read was touching my soul.
I have recommended this book to others."
